London Made Me
'Not Another Pop Up Shop'
London Made Me is a project sponsored by the Mayor of London and led by Alice Mayor in which 14 artist makers from across the city's CEZ where invited to take part in an experiential retail training programme.
The artists were taken through an intensive week of lectures and workshops by leading professionals including Tatty Divine, Preena Patel, Jo Armitage, Cat Elliot, The Digital Lightbulb and Plan Make Do.
After the learning stage the artists were tasked to build and run their own pop-up retails space on Regent Street.
Due to the success of the first 2 weeks of trading, the project was extended a further 3 weeks into the festive period 2022.
Will created a number of products sold at the pop-up space and painted a custom LMM mural for the shop interior.
The invaluable experiences, people and conversations had during this project inspired Will to create The Matchbox - a radical new approach to retail and street art.
